Leapfrog Read With Me Violet Review

Leapfrog Read With Me VioletAs part of the Toys R Us toyologist program we were asked to review the Leapfrog Read With Me Violet. (Also available in green as a Read With Me Scout.)
As soon as she wasout of her box little miss could not wait to give her new friendly faced pup a big cuddle. Being soft and chunky for little hands, she carried out her first task perfectly.

Violet comes with 5 sturdy, colourful and educational board books featuring Violet and Scout, which little miss also couldn’t wait to get stuck into. She was completely enthralled after asking mummy if I would read them to her, being told that Violet would read the stories to her instead. As she reads the stories, Violet captures children’s attention by asking questions and asking children to engage with her 5 interactive spots on her paws, cheek, back and head.

Violet also features a bed time mode which disables her question functions, some interactive features and softens her sound settings for winding down with a bed time story. There is also the option for her to play soft lullaby music by pressing the music note button on one of her paws.

Violet is recommended for children aged 2-5 years and at 3 years old, little miss is really enthusiastic to play with violet independently and without any frustration.

My only complaint would have been that Violets volume in daytime mode can be quite loud, but after reading the instructions found that there is a volume control switch conveniently hidden away inside on her battery pack where little fingers can’t easily turn her back up.

But mine isn’t the opinion that matters. Watch our video below to see what little miss thinks of Violet.
